Posting is few and far between again, Usually due to RL and such however I have a piece I wanna pop out there for those interested.

Back about 9 years ago I started playing Eve Online, My main at the time who I regrettably sold on after 3 years to be replaced with my current hasn't been active for about 4 years now and it got me thinking about where I've been and the journeys in Eve that have shaped this game for me and in some cases my real life.

Originally my cousin told me about this awesome space game which was totally open and single server. I think back in 2004/5. So I started going round his place and watching some of the stuff going on to see if I would like it. I remember watching him fly around in his little frigate and thinking it looked pretty cool. Graphics back then aren't nearly as good as today and visually Eve today is stunning but back then I thought it was pretty damned cool.

As you can see the above photo shows what life was like back in day. One from around 2003 or such and then one from about 2008.

I created a account and had a little play around. Now at the time I was also heavily into WoW running a raid guild so I didn't really have time to take Eve Seriously so I left the game for a few years until Blizzard started to bore me with terrible expansions and money grabbing.

Queue 2009.

I boot up Eve again and start up a new account and my first act is to find out what happens if I shoot NPC navy ships in a Ibis. I explode and die. I will never forget this because for me I think it was the single most productive thing I did for a few years as it made me realize very quickly once you die you're basically stuffed and half your stuff is gone.

The next few months were spent amassing what I considered a small fortune and occasionally being able to afford a plex for 240m. I quickly realized that earnings and abilities in Eve grew with every alt so that's where my plethora of alts grew I think I have something around 18 alts maybe more now I have some accounts on Alpha as I have no need for them currently.

For a while I dotted around Highsec doing industry bits but the call to PVP couldn't be resisted so off I went to live in Lowsec in a place called Ane. My first baptism into "willing" PvP was this wonderful Megathron loss.

It also spurred my hatred for ECM at that point. Damn Rooks.

It was around this time I met a couple of very very long term Eve Friends. People who till this day are still flying with me 9 years later. There has been a lot of people come and go during my time in game but these two in particular are still around and playing the game with me and without them I would have likely moved on many years ago.

I will be making a few posts to try to the best of my ability and memory to write the 9 year story of my Eve career as just a normal space pilot to try and help those who have never played Eve to understand the draw of a game that has kept my attention for nearly a decade.Randuniphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09222840030742452170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8579434500264812053.post-15943878656357690432017-10-27T12:53:00.001-07:002017-10-27T12:53:11.262-07:00Moon Goo Bonanza!Evening all,

So on the 24th of this month Eve saw probably one of it's most game changing moments happen in a very speedy and very smooth ( sort of smooth ) patch.

In the entire history of Eve Online Moon Goo mining has always been a passive income. What I mean by this is Alliances or Corporations within the game would anchor a player owned structure fondly known as a POS. With this they would anchor 2 modules that would mine a moon for resources unattended for generations to come. Back in the "Good Ol' Days" this used to be the most common reason for a all out war over pure resources however in recent future that hasn't really been the case due to the big entities having already sourced a good region and no real powers around or reason to kick them out or even move out themselves.

Anyway moving on. The new system in place is one that copies the current mining spree with a few exceptions. The new "Refinery" structures CCP has implemented in the game are to replace previous citadels that were otherwise used for refining. They are specialized and focus bonuses on refining and reaction times. Que more structure spam.

Once rigged they will provide a higher bonus ( Large only ) Then the previous highest refine rate, They also have a timer for pulling up asteroid belts to mine the shortest being I believe 6 days till a belt appears and the longest somewhere around 52. I can't remember the exact numbers. Chunk sizes are dependent on the length of the "Pull".

So now day's instead of leaving a structure up for the month to suck up what was essentially free money for alliances and corporations, they now have to figure a way of getting around the free money loss. For Alliances with a strong industrial backbone like Goonswarm/Test/Brave it won't be so bad ( I didn't include PL/NC in there purely because the only thing they use Rorquals for is killing our supers so... ) However for PVP focused alliances that either relied on the free money moons or had a good chunk of it used for SRP and enjoying the game they now have to seriously consider other avenues like employing industrialists into their ethos in order to continue the status quo.

It will be interesting to see who adapts well and who doesn't and whether or not the new system creates content or just gives carebears like myself another way to buy titans like they're tristans.

Only time will tell.

Rand ~Randuniphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09222840030742452170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8579434500264812053.post-42153074147898264712017-08-29T11:51:00.000-07:002017-08-29T11:51:31.715-07:00Finally! TITANHey guys back again,

So after 8 years of hording and mining and ratting and killing things and market PVP. I finally decided to put some of that isk to use in the form of a Titan. I spent ages debating this purchase but as it was considered my "end game" to own one I had the chance and I took it. So about 2 months ago the sucker went in the oven and out came my shiny new Erebus.

I am fully aware that it's basically the worst titan in the game currently next to the Levithan.

A lot of the reason I picked this up was purely a achievement in the game for me. I've done nearly everything else and had every single ship in the game except titans and I decided I'd finally get one. If it dies then so be it I'll buy another!

- Also I haven't been playing much the last two months RL took a reign again as it usually does. RIP.

I got the opportunity to head to fanfest next year as well however I think I have to decline as I am flying back to Tokyo again :DRanduniphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09222840030742452170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8579434500264812053.post-19153709362886867132017-06-10T15:05:00.004-07:002017-06-10T15:05:49.296-07:00Harsh Worlds - A New ChapterIts been a long time coming and the only person who ever reads these is my long time eve buddies

However I am feeling like a story just can't die a lonely death no matter how bad it is. We spend our entire lives each of us living our own stories some ending too soon and some continuing way past what we expect and thus my terrible writing skills come into play once again.

Check it here!

I just realized it's been nearly 2 years to the day since I returned to the universe of Harsh Worlds. Literally by a few days! So read and enjoy!

Explosions against my shields register down through my neural links keeping my pod in touch with the ships system as another victim tries with futile efforts to evade my advances on yet another easy kill. The small frigate class Punisher is unloading salvo after salvo into my Carrier class Thanatos with no effect. The shields shrugging off the laser beams with nothing more then a cursory beep to let me something hit them. To be honest I didn't have to kill him but I was having a bad day.

His hull fails as my fighters tear the last vestiges of hope from under him and I dispatch his pod with no issues. Warping off I initiate the glide into a safe spot I had previously marked on the star map to cool off. Its been a long day and I need to rest.

"WARNING! SUBSPACE TRANSMISSION DETECTED WARNING! SUBSPACE TRANSMISSION DETECTED"

I'm instantly awake and taking in all my visual and audio feeds along with the numerous data feeds thrumming into my skull as warnings flash everywhere. A very old code has been used to access my switched off comm link...I start sending commands to the ships systems to patch me in and find out who is trying to reach on a old Spec Ops command channel that's been dormant since I left the federation 2 and a half years ago.

"Akane pick up the damned comms you solitude loving asshole this is an emergency"

It sounds like it's one of my old team members from back in the day but I don't have time for this bullshit.. They were wiped out long ago and I haven't heard from them since.. Assuming the federation biomassed their main clone when our last mission went south on us.

"Whoever this is get off this channel. You shouldn't even be able to get on it the guy who programmed the security into it died a long time ago" I reply with a large sack of annoyance in my voice at being woken up by something so absurd.

"I haven't the time for your crap Akane. I need your help. Rands in trouble and it's more then even my skill set can manage. Access code Delta, Romeo, One, Nine, One. Access Dusty Meg. Computer reroute full visual feed and prepare for data sync" He calls over comms. My systems start going nuts as my ship responds to his commands and a visual comes up with him sat on a sofa.

I can't believe my eyes.. I'm staring at a potentially dead person asking for help for another dead person while sat on a sofa.. On a space ship. The scene is just so utterly absurd I can't help but laugh.. but that soon turns to sobbing.

"I thought you were dead you asshole. Why now?" I respond over over the communication link as I start processing all the data coming through. It seems pretty unreal by the looks of what I'm getting in the second comrade I lost Rand is currently engaging a Sansha fleet of massive proportions. That self righteous wanna be hero was always causing us hell back in the day and it seems things haven't changed at all.

"Akane we need to go. I need your help.. and the help of everyone you can get your hands on. I'm calling in THE favor. I need everything.. And I mean everything. His ships not going to hold much longer and if they get his pod he will never come back, ever. We need to move now or we risk losing him for good. I have a Cyno field ready to go but I need more people" Dusty face seems stricken as he types in commands faster then I can follow.

"Send me your fleet data right now also I've sent you a toy it should landing shortly, consider it a parting gift seeing as you're likely to die in the next 10 minutes" I start pouring through the data of his current fleet.. I can be a benevolent kinda guy when I wanna be.
"I should really just let him die. Left me in this shit heap of a low sec system for two god damned years..." I mutter as I start sending prepping to send out a ping. "Fine! Hold on. I'm sending you the comms details. Get connected.."

"SUBSPACE TRANSMISSION: CALLING ALL FLEET COMMANDERS. BALLS TO THE WALL BOYS WE HAVE SOMEWHERE TO BE ASAP. CAPITALS ARE GO. I REPEAT CAPITALS ARE GO. BRING EVERYTHING. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. ALL TITANS GET OUT OF SAFE DOCK NOW. PREP FOR BRIDGE AND CYNO"

"Akane.. Um.. Please explain?" Dusty looks like someone dropped a bomb on him. But I'm not about to give away my secrets to this lazy ass, Taking gates with a Mackinaw in zero security scrub. Even if he is a old friend. "Oh that? It's just an old toy and I remember Rand saying once you two were having a race to see who could get one first. Guess he lost. That alone is worth letting you use it." The feed switches off for a moment as he switches into his little gift. The screen flickers back on and the look on his face is priceless. "Dusty I can see the sofa stuck between the bridge doors" I chuckle over comms.

"Where did you even get this?" He asks stunned.

"Oh yea.. I sort of found them. And for each one I found more kind of.. came along. You know how it is. Anyway yea.. Now I just use them for killing people I can't kill myself, But you know it gets kind of boring so it's about time the crews earn their pay." I love doing this to dusty.. it's always fun winding him up.

"We need to go now he's down to 10% Armor as soon as he hits structure he's gone. Its now or never. Good luck. Maybe we'll see each other again. And thanks" Dusty switches off visual and I return my focus to the fleet roster. I didn't realize I had some much stuff. I sigh as I consider the repair bills and send out the command.

"SUBSPACE TRANSMISSION: CYNO UP, I REPEAT CYNO UP! JUMP JUMP JUMP JUMP. FREE FIRE ON EVERYTHING. ALL REPS ON RANDUNIP. TITANS GO GO GO. DOOMSDAY ON LANDING. I REPEAT DOOMSDAY ARE GREEN. ANYONE LETS HIM DIE BEFORE I GET A CHANCE TO KILL THAT STUPID IDIOT YOU'RE ALL FIRED"

I fire up the jump drives and power through sub space blindly into the fray and quite likely financial ruin and certain death in my poor mans Thanatos. But at least I'm with friends.Randuniphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09222840030742452170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8579434500264812053.post-56254297140603740152017-05-13T12:06:00.000-07:002017-05-13T12:06:01.802-07:00Future Eve and How it will affect us!Hey all! Im still here just haven't had much to write about with being in Tokyo for a while and then back to England again.

However with the recent DevBlog out regarding the future of structures and the one back in march on the refineries, I wanted to ping out my 2 cents about the whole thing.

I wanna start with the fact I am a huge fan of POS being removed from the game. They were great back.... Who am I kidding they always sucked. Especially when we had to anchor 500,000 of them to run a empire and then try and find 100 types of materials to fuel them all. CCP do some things correct after all.

A little Eve History -

Player Owned Stations as they were named being a stick in space that have a shield, armor, structure bar were the be all end all of Sov warfare ( Owning Null Space ) back in the day. You had to have a majority of Pos online in a system to own that system. To take it away from someone you needed to kill their Pos and anchor your own. Queue the F1/AFK Wars. And with only 1 reinforce timer per Pos it could be done reasonably quickly as they have damage cap so if you drop 100 dreads it'll die in no time. You could arm them with a ton of guns and in the day this used to be the thing 1 x Faction tower + as many guns as you could fit. Queue fight scene. However as time went on and fights scaled upwards in terms of player numbers Pos guns mean very little these days apart from a deterrent from the average opportunist.

After CCP removed that limitation and replaced it with TCU/SBU ( We won't get into that as that sucked just as much ) They became basically huts in space used for the removal of moon goo from the moons around planets, as JB network POS. Super Capital safe spots and Industry related Jazz. And really not a lot else was required of them. They were the focus of many battles over what we refer to as R64 Moons like Technetium, Dysprosium etc. Now day's they are the focus of reactions and safe spots for supers to hide in during trades/wars.

Until - CITADELS!

Finally CCP released true player owned stations that were actually stations and not Popsicle In Space. ( PIS ) First we had the 3 Main stations the Astrahaus, Fortizar and Keepstar. These allowed people to safely dock up or "tether" an act that originally was meant to keep your ship from being bumped but apparently CCP have no idea what the fuck to do regarding this - Hence a few occasions in the early days of Citadels a lot of reimbursement mails were sent ot CCP for things that had been bumped off the citadels. They come with a huge amount of HP which increases depending on which one you build ( but so does the price ) and they have bonuses geared towards it's attached weapons systems via a rig bonus. They can also fit modules and weapons specifically designed for Citadels + Engineering Complexs. Either way this was one of the greatest patches ever released in the eight years I have been playing. However, that is until!

ENGINEERING COMPLEXES!

These are awesome. Not only do they allow you to dock depending on your ship size but they have bonuses towards Industry and they have changed Industry forever within Eve. These allow depending on size again to build bigger and better with restrictions though until you reach the top. You have the Raitaru, Azbel and Sotiyo. Each can be rigged just like the Citadels same with modules and weapons although weapons are not as useful or bountiful due to the fitting slot availability. These were designed with minimal defences in mind but with huge bonuses to Industry related jobs.

Moving on.

I currently run a bunch of POS purely for reactions and that's about it and even then the fueling time for materials and fuel itself is still pretty annoying alongside the anchoring etc thankfully that only happens the once. I also run a lot of stuff in citadels and to be honest having everything in one place is a lot more useful then having everything all over the place a bit obvious but some people are like me and basically have space trash in every corner of the galaxy.

With the advent of the new blog it has been announced that the next structures to appear will be the new refineries, however CCP have stated they will be released when they are ready and not before which I herald as a good omen because usually they lob it out the door before it's finished expecting it to walk talk and take over the world. These refineries will take a way all the need for POS for myself as they will incorporate reactions into a single place and they can be done with multiple characters with the introduction of a new skill. The draw backs and bonuses we won't know until the time comes for the release and test on SISI.

Another thing is they will I believe grant even bigger bonuses to reprocessing and they will be able to fit the new moon mining array. The info can be found here in the dev blog.

Now what does this mean for eve?

I can't even begin to consider how much raw moon goo is pulled in on a daily basis. At a minimum you will pull in 2400 units of one moon goo a day per tower to move that onto the player base is going to be interesting. I foresee a new breed of miner and a new breed of greed as well.

With the change over there will likely be a minimum of a week before one is up and online so in that time I am guessing that the current stockpile of moon goo will tide us over until the new one is up and running however I can see prices rising and the T2 modules and ship's market increasing quite a lot. And this of course doesn't include what will happen to the moon goo prices themselves.

It really does depend on how much you can mine in the equivalent time next to a Pos. Ie; Pos will mine 100 Technetium in 1 hour. Does that mean 1 player can mine the same? If so how do you keep that in line with the current output? If you can only mine 100 Tech a hour per toon then is it even worth mining? What about the R8 moon goos? They are worth so little isk per hour people won't bother mining them? So will the balance eventually switch or will all the moon goo level out to some extent? I'm interested to see how it all pan's out personally I think it's either going to be amazing or it is going to break the game entirely in terms of T2 building and reactions for a while.

Any thoughts? What are your hopes and fears regarding these monumental changes coming to us sometime in the future?

Randuniphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09222840030742452170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8579434500264812053.post-67734128116084413292017-02-01T04:13:00.000-08:002017-02-01T04:13:19.388-08:00Supers and How not to be a scrub...Boo! Been a while hasn't it?

Ive been playing just you know.. work.. and meh.

So I finally picked up a super not long ago, I ended up going for the Wyvern because the Matigu SeaBeast Skin is awesome, Should have been Caldari's base skin in my opinion but hey.

Anyway so this is a short story about how to not be a scrub and it comes from personal experience. So basically I accepted the contract and went over to the citadal to collect it being all excited I didn't notice that the seller had forgotten to pop in the fuel that usually comes with the contract so I undocked and went to jump to my cyno only to find out that I had no fuel.. Needless to say I was a little miffed that I didn't check... So while I was shuttling some fuel over my corp mocked me mercilessly for several hours and it's now become a corp joke about supers and fuel. So tip number one. Make sure you have fuel otherwise you look like me... an idiot.

Tip number two. Don't bomb your own fighters.

While in the process of figuring out wtf to do with the unguided bombs in a haven I managed to bomb my already damaged lights and killed 2 of them.. GG. YouTube is there for a reason.. Guess I should use it.

And finally when testing out the burst modules fire the interdiction sphere burst projector AWAY from your super. Unlike this guy who managed to bubble his own super in a safe spot. Needless to say I'm still pretty happy about finally achieving one of my goals and going forward I shall endeavor to not be a total scrub lord and do silly things with a fairly expensive ship.

Kinda concerned about buying a titan as knowing my luck Ill jump myself instead of bridging on the first try and quite likely end up dying.

I must admit since eve went FTP for new people it's been nice seeing a influx of new players and the game seems more... active which is great. There's a lot happening and ultimately this can only be a good thing. I'm enjoying playing more and more since the expansions and really CCP are doing a pretty great job, granted there's some stuff that needs fixing but overall the last few big changes have been great. I only hope they don't completely fuck T2 Production with the new moon mining but as always we'll either adapt or complain and then adapt.

So hello again!

I am terrible, I know posting is far between but hey I persevere!

So I pinged out for a corp roam for Friday night but alas it was probably the quietest night we have had in months and only 4 people were actually around ( It was Vets day and with a pretty heavy USTZ following could explain why, Alongside this, respects to my brother Americans who protect their country past, future and present! )

Anyway not to be deterred by shit numbers I still pushed to go out in our Tristans to die horribly killing something like a claw or whatever. Traveling through Delve we made our way to the JB to drop us at the ass end of Catch, A nice little entry point which has little to no defense during our TZ as the alliance only wake up at like 1am my time. Pushing up into VOLT space we traveled through their new sov down south. Needless to say it was dead. Literally no one around for about 10 jumps. We didn't bother scouting just bundling in and hitting Ice Belts/Mining Belts/Anoms for the most part we found F All. Turns out Catch is about as empty as my cup of what was Tea. However we found this lone defender of justice mining ice in the final destination and quickly dispatched him in what was our moment of glory for the night. ( I almost burnt out my MWD burning in for tackle ) and spent the rest of the evening asking people in local for Nanite Paste.

We then traveled up into North Catch and it was just as dead. Moving into N-8 we found. Nothing. The pocket now being a dust bowl of Nothingness. Having lived there in the past we saw system ADM's at a high massive mining operations and ratting constantly, however now it's like everything died.

Giving up we moved up into Providence passing a Ossim gang on the way who tried to bubble us and caught no one. And several other CVA gangs who caught no one.. Right up until I sacrificed one of our guys for the greater good. And ran away.

Moving into Providence we killed a Cyno on a Citadel because we are obviously big ballers and then promptly all died to a Svipul.

All in all a successful night, But 3hrs of roaming 2 regions in 4 Tristans and only dying at the tail end was a little depressing. Next time I may take dreads and probably still end up with the same scenario.
I ended up with a really tight doctrine fleet of around 23 which was amazing everyone was in the correct ship and we had loads of Logi ( about 5 ) no caracals or shite to be found anywhere in the comp so overall brilliant, It's how it should be.

We went for a run towards HED- to see if anyone wanted to pick a fight and well we found someone who did pretty quickly. We managed to get tackle on a command dessie and scrammed he couldn't do much so he died promptly. What we didn't see coming was the SOLARFLEET Prophecy gang with their own logi warp in I managed to draw enough aggro that the majority of the fleet evac-ed however me and a couple others sacrificed our lives for the good of the fleet!

Report Here - we still won the isk war so who cares!

We hung about for a bit while a Vexor gang came in as well and not wanting to tangle with the two gangs at the same time we scouted around until they had left the area. Now after going into HED-, Brotherstud passed me over a Magus, Now I haven't flown these like ever.. But honestly it was the most dickish/hilarity ensuing ship I've ever flown. We got wind of a big CTA in up Providence involving a hostile gang or some such. So I gave the guys the option of either taking them home to reship into Nightmares or we continue as is and play stealth support. Decision was unanimous and we shipped out as we were in our Ruptures with a command destroyer at the front.

We rolled up the pipes heading towards KBP7- In Providence. Not wanting the enemy or the friendlies to know about us we kept quiet, ignoring everything and positioning ourselves and hatching a plan. So we got into a system once reds had cleared out and docked at the citadel. Our fleet being not to big I don't think anyone paid attention to us. After pouring through Intel to see what was happening we started filtering scouts into the system to get our fleet in without being blapped on gate. Luckily enough our pro scouts shouted when it was time to move and we quick responded our asses out the station and into system warping immediately to a perch above the enemy fleet after our ceptor pilot Nalles did some pro pin pointing we landed behind the already engaged enemy fleet and started locking up primary's. We were attempting to hit the same targets as CVA but eventually proving to be more of a nuisance then they would have liked Shadow Cartel turned their guns on us. Our logi being super pro kept some of us alive while others who hadn't kept up traversal were slapped into bits.

We did some positioning after getting a couple of kills "Obviously with CVA assists" ;D After seeing the enemy fleet starting to flag and losses mount for some reason I made the call to warp to a wreck and land hopefully about 50km off. However I warped the entire fleet at 0m and landed on what I can only assume was the Shadow Cartel FC having flown with him in the past. In the split second of realizing as we entered warp I had made a mistake I put the call out over comms "Hold tight guys! No one move on land!" On landing I spooled up the jump unit and all you could hear on comms was "WTF RAND! What are you doing!" Oh fuck he's jumping us" After that I nearly died laughing as we launch all of us along with several SC guys off their fleet and started attempting to tackle them. With no scrams however we failed to stop their MWD. And my Magus got toasted. In the time it took for them to reach their fleet they were nearly all dead and not too soon afterwards they exploded too.

After reshipping into a IBIS! I launched our fleet once again back into the fray jumping into the adjoining system we lent our helping hand of DPS and Logistics to wipe out their 4 FAX Machines ( Force Auxiliaries ) Not that we made any real difference in the fight but we had amazing fun. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, even after a few of us reshipped and died and what have you. Our Logi was amazing keeping my shields on the Magus repped up while I ancillary boosted my armor trying to get into warp and surviving twice due to logi reps before dying. All in all I think we lost a grand total of about 9 ships possibly 10. We may not have assisted in Nightmares ( we were all poor ) but we went to help anyway in our own way and honestly it was the most fun I've had in ages.

Big thanks to Shadow for providing the big fight it was awesome and their was no faggot acts to speak of just straight up no fucks given quality brawl fight.

Big thanks to the guys who came on the fleet. And special thanks to Brotherstud for providing me with a ship Ive since loved flying!
BE GONE! - The diary of a Dessy Love Fleet

Yea so today we went out on a alliance "CTA" Fleet. To help our BRAVE Bros out. Who it turns out didn't need our help in the end.

What ensued was a really intense roam of basically engaging and exploding everything we could find. For once I wasn't the FC which was nice!

Anyway I digress. We marched on down and parked up in Red Frogs system to chill. After all of about 2 minutes everyone decided unanimously that "fuck this lets kill something" was the order of the day. So fleet un docked and went on a wander.

So first up was this guy who apparently just sat there and took the pounding like a nice piece of steak.
He then jumped into us again a few jumps ahead and well...

Shortly after this we camped and bubbled up a station. Nothing of note came up... THEN SUDDENLY KRONOS! Now I've seen what a Kronos can do and it's tank in bastion is mad reps bro #LeetTalk.

This guy tanked us easily didn't kill anyone and almost died when he dropped bastion to dock up. Docked in like 40% Structure. Disappointed and thinking we were being trolled we went to leave. Then he un docks again! This time our command destroyer didn't scram the Kronos and proceed to jump only himself off the station. And the Kronos landed 100km off station and tackled to hell.

True to form he repped like a beast and all the while some of his buddies came in slowly. Up first was this lonely hurricane coming in for a hug with his brother.
Poor guy didn't know what hit him.

He missed his buddy so much he called another friend and warped in for a group hug! The dominix bless his soul tried to hug me tightly with his webifier but apparently unscrammed I ran away and blip blapped at his hull tank along with the other bro's of this glorious huggle fleet of warmth and poof he turned into a cloud of love.
Along with his hurricane buddy who didn't get to hug anyone.

Shortly after no one else coming to his aid and with screams of overheating ringing in everyones ears the Kronos fell to our Dessie Love Bus.

Not content with this offering we continued our way and encountered several other little treats who through no fault of there own exploded with love for us.
Here
Here
And here.

Few jumps from home we swept upon some blues who were trying to catch a kiting gang of Anti Hug people! SHOCKED! We were.. FC Called the love machine in and off we went to convert these heathens! Unfortunately their speed was strong and they ran but the Pilot of the Loki embraced us all and turned to the side of love and we sent him off to change his ways.

The End.

Big thanks to Alaala the FC and all the guys who came and fought us to provide some great content.

Kronos Pilot > You have bigger balls then most. Maybe next time!

YES! Terrible title I know. But.. Whatever.

So again I threw down my toys and decided to rally a fleet, I was bored, It was sunny, I wanted to explode things. I called out to my glorious brethren and in waves they came to do battle.. Who am I kidding it took like 30 minutes and finally I was happy with numbers. Off we trotted with a small fleet of cormorant's and tackle and talwars to do war with anything in our way. Well after I had my bio. HOWEVER!

On returning I found my fleet had been undocked and warping to a gate courtesy of one our more savvy members who took control to gain the fleet a good kill. A vagabond had been tackled and after landing on gate and taking back command we flew against this vagrant and exploded him.

Running back to N-8 So some guy's could reship and join the fleet we had word that a cloaky Stratios was being a nuisance in N-8 so one of our guys jumped in a alt, Popped on a web and scram onto his Occator and warped to gate. On landing in the red's bubble he decloaked and tackled our guy. On went the point and web and in jumped the fleet. Burning towards the bubble we exploded him just as he managed to kill our bubble ship and almost killed the Occator. However his death was worth it and the loot more then paid for the loss of the bubble ship!

With that we roamed into south catch to find some fight's but everyone ran away. Made me sad..

And with that and no more pew we went home to cuddle our bears.

All in a all a great little fleet.
Whut O_OSo it was a normal afternoon, The sun was shining through the windows and I was playing Eve, Cause Eve's awesome. Fuck sunshine.

So we setup our Bomber fleet sorted out the bridge boat and sat outside a citadel waiting for a target. Now I love Blops. They are probably the most fun ships to fly/use. And we have been out in them a few times now within the corp to the point where it's like an addiction. At least for me.

Anyway continuing on.

Sitting by the citadel we awaited our first call, Scout was out hunting while I was chilling in the "Sir Bridge Alot" Redeemer, Intel piped up about a carrier roaming solo couple jumps from Provi so we redirected our scout that way. Orders where given not to light anything until we had certainty he was either aggressed or it wasn't a TRAPPP! Our cyno is waiting on the go ahead while I gather more intel on what's going on after a couple blue ceptors and a sabre bubble and tackle the carrier. Comms go green and word of a friendly cyno being popped is up and not to be one to have a meal taken away our cyno also gets dropped and in come our little bomber fleet. As soon as that happens the carrier jumps luckily enough I called people to hold aggro and we MWD into the gate and jumped in. On the otherside a Megathron was being attacked by the carrier along with a Chimera on grid. Needless to say we uncloaked and lit up the Thanatos. Shortly there after he exploded.

Shortly after time restraints kicked in and I had to leave. Which was a bad idea because then this happened.... God Damn It Delta.

And thus our adventure continues as I press these wonderfully awesome miners into some explosive action and death!

( I used up my saved breaks near the end for a power nap but forgot to turn off the stream hahaha ) ;D

I managed somehow to raise £287.67p this is the equivalent at current exchange rate for USD: $420.71 and EURO: 378.58. Which is amazing! The EVE ONLINE community pitched in from Alliance members to random fleet bros raising £132 of the total! You guys rock!

Donations page is here in case you wanna add to the total amount!
Twitch Stream here - If you go to previous broadcasts you'll find the stream in there. Also it's split down as I had tech issues part way through!

Overall I want to thank everyone who donated you made a huge difference to a great cause and you are all freaking awesome <3
Schwarzenmarken is born! ( I believe it means Black Mark in German which seemed like a apt name for this group )

We sent one of our guys out for a sniff around and didn't find much it being so late apart from a Deimos camping a gate with a bubble. Our cyno baited him and he aggressed so up went the Jump Portal.

After getting in he was repping like a boss ended up managing to burn away with half structure. Despite a fun fight he seemed extremely butt hurt in local and rather then GF's he cried and whined even though he won.. SAD!

So after a failed attempt I shifted the Widow around and bridged everyone home, I think people felt a bit disheartened but we decided to carry on and learn from our mistakes. This time we took a Rapier as well!

While moving around it got down to the point were we all agreed it was time to go bed as luck would have it our cyno found 2 Skiff's in a belt and after checking bridge was available we dropped. One was already in structure I assume from the rats and neither made any move to run away. So they exploded pretty quickly as did their MTU.

Considering it was only two skiffs. To get a kill report stating we just blapped 2.2b worth of gear we were curious. And found out one of the guy's pods had Michi's Excavator installed needless to say it was a pretty funny evening and a success in our books! Now I can justify losing 50 Bombers in the future ;D

No doubht we'll have many more fails like the deimos to come and quite probably some bait. Will be interesting to see what happens!
I had one of my corp bro's hit me up about a gang camping D-GTMI, We had a small fleet so I was like meh why not I can kill something and die in a blaze of glory!

So I JB'ed over a couple systems and sat aligned. Call came in to say they had aggressed so I warp down to the gate and jump through to see some small stuff irrelevant. And 2 Sleipnirs.

De-cloaking at basically 0m on the first Sleip I drop scram and web and my crap nuet and start pounding on him. He's taking ton's of dps then just collapses. Scoop the loot and run after wiping the rest of them out.. Losing 2 Caracals and 1 Myrmidon in the process.

Report here!

Was a fun fight :) Randuniphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09222840030742452170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8579434500264812053.post-79468991151412532652016-05-08T10:02:00.000-07:002016-05-08T10:02:06.012-07:00NPC Dreads Sansha Belt Dreadnaught Scum!So having not really kept up to date about whats been doing on and stuff and in the process of just getting myself a little bit more space rich I was "cough" ratting "cough". In a carrier cause well who cares.

Anyway low and behold in the final wave of this sanctum a dread spawn appears. Now I've been hearing how nasty these are.. how sansha ones are the worst.. And after one of our guys went to sacrifice his carrier in order to test out how bad ass it was I dropped my dread on it thinking he may end up in trouble and again. Didn't care. Siege in a asteroid belt.. It's fine.. totally safe. Anyway it popped in short order to my completely maxed out dread which honestly wasn't surprised.

But theres more!? They can't dps for shit. Never even had to turn on the 2nd repper which I had on in prep for being nearly wtfpwned by this super scary dread which in fact is super crap. Granted the tank on it is pretty good against a single carrier even with maxed out skills you can't kill it with one carrier ( Unless randomly it stops repping and just lets itself die after bumping off a asteroid and flying through space at 700m/s. )

Long story short. Fit hardeners relevant to damage type.. Drop 2 carriers. Dies in 4 minutes. Dont shit fit. Loot drop is shit ignore eve appraiser in game as it's horrifically wrong. The only thing worth anything is the BPC's or the actual built components!

But it was fun another little addition to belt ratting/mining deaths of which some are hilarious. Like said carrier in the link above. Bounty is pretty chunky so if you multibox it down it's a nice slice of isk and pays for more cruisers for me to explode in.

:D
And stuffThis was meant to have a lot more information but because apparently the internet is terrible the only actual kill I can find is on the corp killboard - further more the 4/5 others haven't been posted due to no API input on the the boards which is slightly annoying to say the least as it was a funny fight.

So unfortunately no fight information to really go on :(

Been a while eh? I haven't been AFK. But more over been busy moving my stuff around the shiny starry space that we live in.

So after returning my old corp doing a purge had kicked me out, No hard feelings I had been away a lot longer then expected so It was cool. However when I logged in I ended up chatting with my old buddy Dusty who features in my Fiction work. He offered me a place in the corp he was in out in Nullsec in OR. Now I hadn't played much with him for a while so I figured it would be cool to go chill for a bit with him. Anyway one thing led to another and basically I ended up getting on really well with the guys and decided I'd stay long term.

I wasn't too fussy about who they affiliated with alliance wise and at the time they were in SMA. Considering everything going on and their options they decided to leave and head south and join VOLT.

And here I am! I have a fight I had out in 4-C when in Outerring, I'm running out on a Mach fight as I type this and I am re-booting my fiction so lots going on and it'll be going up tomorrow/tonight depending on how long the fight is!

Have fun and fly stupid <3

Pirates, Role players, Goons, Not Goons, Miners, Drug makers, Builders etc etc.

On my return to Eve I though you know what this game would be a great one to play during my charity marathon due to being visually stunning and the prospect of quick action. I am calling upon the Eve community to help me in a modest goal of raising money for cancer charity Macmillan in the UK. Link here to the donation page!

In the past I have been involved in a very small part with Plex donations, Fleets for charity events and such and now It is time for me to put on my own. It will be a 24hr Live stream of various games across console and PC. One of which will of course be Eve Online. If anyone would like to join me in a roam ( You will explode.. Its pretty much Inevitable ) with my terrible FC'ing. ( Volunteers for this role accepted ) then get in touch with Randunip in game. If enough Interest is drummed up I wouldn't mind donating a carrier to the flames in a "Attack and Defense" fleet style similar to some events from the past! I'm aiming to raise money for charity while contributing to some form of "content" for anyone who wishes to come join in the fun. If it turns into a all out war then so be it!

Provided interest is high I will most likely do a prize give away of several items. Plex, Ships etc.

Even if you don't want to join in and no ones interested I will still be flying around lowsec/null dieing as much as possible so please come shoot at me! Please share the donation page, or make a donation yourself :)
Love

No you can't have my stuff.

I'm a firm believer that Eve is one of those games you can never truly put away, It's like the monopoly set that sits in your closet but you never throw it out because well.. maybe one day.. You'll have friends.

Logging into Eve yesterday for me was like being hit by a warm breeze of change, from the seat of my infinity pumped up PC Eve booted up with the settings to the max and as space loaded on my screen I remembered why I enjoyed this game the most.

Eve is something of a true beauty in video games. Visually stunning with attention to details from the developers everywhere you look. Eve Online truly is a beautiful place to fly.

While being logged in to check skills a friend of mine popped on also one of my Avid readers and a fan of my short stories as sparse and literally inept as they are. We chatted for a while and as we spoke I realised I missed playing Eve more then I thought and slowly I started booting up accounts that had dust on from Eon's ago to see what stuff I had floating about. Apparently I am a hoarder.

And thus the big space Exodus of Rand and his minions and loot began. As we speak myself and many minion alt's are rallying across Eve picking up my collections of "Crap" throughout the Universe and tallying up what is owed. Turns out I am now space rich. Huzzah

Enough with the stupid posh talk.

I'm back. I'm bad ( At Eve ) And I'm here to explode in glorious rendered flames.

Plans? I will be doing some what of a continuation on my short story's as a thanks to my bud for sticking with me in Eve through the AFK's and such. 7 Years in a couple of months and we would have been playing Eve that long together :O

I will be liquidating literally everything I own. Then starting from fresh. New home, New start.

Expect more over the coming months!

P.s While my work committments still exist I have decided to dedicate some time to Eve Online again.

Also Skill extractors are like gold <3 Thanks CCP

I've been mulling over many idea's for the next terrible short story as due to lack of play time I figured I'd contribute to the community I love so dearly with more of my terrible over active imagination.

So I guess it's about time to make a start I'll just dive in with what I have and roll from there. Consider this a improv short story starting point as I have no plans on how I want it to go or end.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's cold. . .

The depth's of space have never held a warmth for any living creature not now, nor in the future. It is a harsh unforgiving realm where only jagged rocks and dust form what little there is to see in the vast void between the worlds. There is no air and no life that is not found on the populated worlds floating around this vast domain for normal living being could not and would not survive in this world. This is of no consequence for myself however, and my fellow pilots because it is a domain we are bound too.

It's an odd feeling floating about in what I can only describe as goo. The semi amniotic fluid that sustains our body's during a high load neural link, It's special property's allow us to maintain a high load link which gives us a sort of awareness if you like in addition to our own allowing us to manifest reports and visuals from all over and around our entire vessel providing tactical data, ammo capacity and any minor and major detail involving the complete and total control of a star ship. It's like floating in the center of Gelatin a sense of suspension in a globe of safety. However we all know this is far from the truth, out here in the void there is no safety the strong live and the weak die. It's a simple world to which I am accustomed and built for for. I have no family anymore having out lived my previous members by several generations. I have no friends to watch my back and no one to fall back on. I gave up being friends a long time ago.. When you outlive the people you love and care for and have to watch them die or be torn apart by spacial vacuum the pain of the loss eventually overcomes you and gradually you drift away further and further until you are.. somewhat less human then you were before. The void. She gives nothing but she takes everything. And you come to the realization that nothing matters not even death, this is ironically suited to a being such as myself. A Pod Pilot. Someone who cannot for all intents and purposes actually die. All our neural data is stored and uploaded constantly to cloning facility's around the empire and on our demise we are reborn in a new clone.

My name is Akane, I have been brought up as a tool of war and destruction, I am a Pod Pilot an Agent of the Gallente Empire. Or I was until 6 months ago when I resigned my commission to plunge into the hell hole of what we refer to as "Low-Sec" space. A place home to renegades and murderers and all sorts of scum. I was angry and needed to vent some steam 6 month's later I'm still here.. now one of them. Hunted and despised by all. I am a solo pilot that hunt's the unworthy but due to my past I am also hunted, not only by the agents of the empire but also by the local's who harbor somewhat ill will towards me for the demise of there comrades.

So there it is. I hope it wasn't too terrible a start but honestly it gives me something to do in the very limited time I have spare :D
So I'm semi back from my work escapades.. Although around 50% anywho. I'm going to start off slow and run a weekly topic blog and maybe change up some stuff and start fiction again as it's less time consuming :D

On other news RL related my contract got extended for a further 9 Months! So company car and shiz stays :D Loving it although it does leave me somewhat short on time for anything else :P
More to come by the weekend!

So today was a pretty good day as far as they go. RL wise I worked on my car ( my secret show car love project ) and done some DIY down a friends flat. Then getting home 20 minutes before I was due to take out my second roam in SC which also went pretty good as far as they go.

Took out a fleet comp that's new to me however I felt a lot more comfortable flying it then I did the shield fleet I had prior and killed most of us. Took a run up towards Siseide and I managed to die in my maller because being a pleb I "thought" I heard logi say they were only 15km from the gate and not 50km so when I jumped through to engage a small-ish E-UNI gang I got killed before reps could get in. *Sad Panda*.

So ran back and reshipped and made haste back to the fleet like a proper FC..... Derp.

A Myrm was fighting a small gang on a medium outpost so I have the guy's run in and try and tackle everything they can get there hand's on. Unfortunately only the Myrm was on field when we landed. Or rather when they landed.. My second Derp was warping to the wrong medium. Managed to get on the kill though so I didn't look like a complete tool as the guy was repping like a boss. He tanked our entire gang for about 45 seconds. This Myrm was insanely good. And when he died I found out why.. He was also extremely expensive!

Winner that paid for my Maller loss and a little extra. So win. In the end he had taken 110k Damage which tbh is nuts but good on him was fun. Loot scooped and stored in a cloaky because no one fancied being the patsy and dieing in a 10m ship with 110m in loot.

Next we continued up the pipe nothing was really about a gang or two that were too big to take on and get any realistic gain from ( In other word's we'd all die again ).

We found these guy's sitting in a safe spot after warping off from a fight at a gate so in true style. We blobbed them.. Managed to catch the Deimos and Thorax but the other two got away tbh I'd have been happy with the Deimos.

A gang was spotted in Kamela not shortly afterward's and had kiting setup with logi. Our brave Celestis pilot for some reason had jumped into them and died and no one realised till "Fuck" was heard on teamspeak and a loss mail appeared in fleet chat. In the course of getting into the fight I made a few mistakes some being a bit slow on decisions ( I was sleepy ) but in the end I had the guy's warp to gate we jumped and held cloak for a little too long I was expecting them to jump but they started burning instead hing sight says I should have just got them to tackle everything as we jumped but nevermind. A couple of guy's tag teamed and managed to catch the Thorax, Scimmy and Scythe so with no more Logi. They all ran away. Ignore the Slicer I don't think he was in the gang. I could be wrong though looks like a split battle report.

Then to top off a nice evening. This happened. I warped to station after someone said a Mega was on station aggressed him with Snow and then he docks and out comes a Bestower... ???>>>>

Shoot the indy he docks and out comes the mega pilot in a Rokh... Ok... I aggress him for shit's and have one of our logi repping me just you know so I don't die to station guns and the guy goes hot on Snow. Fleet jump's in and he stops aggressing as they land. Managed to overheat maybe about 15s before his timer expires and kill him before he docks back up. So all in all it was a OP success.

Was'nt a very challenging roam but it gave me food for thought on what I need to work on to shake off the remaining rust.

More to come soon as my fleet's of self inflicted death rain down on New Eden.

Rand

o/

P.S Then we repped POCOS! - I hate POCO repping. Just saying. =]

This made my day.

Been working more with shadow cartel last couple weeks and it's been awesome. I took out a Moa fleet and got most of us killed. Talk about rusty on the FC side! But then again few mistakes I shoulda seen coming changed the outcome.

Next time though!Randuniphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09222840030742452170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8579434500264812053.post-82791962699545255672014-05-05T11:13:00.001-07:002014-05-05T11:13:34.092-07:00Finally got to kill stuff with my Dread!Haiiiii!

How's everyone been? Good?

Fantastic.

Right, back on track. So as you know I'm now in Shadow Cartel! And honestly most fun in EVE so far.. Ever.. That's a fact. Lots of PVP, Plenty of free time to work around RL. And great fun couldnt ask for more really.

I have had/been in several fights since joining the last couple were enjoyable 1 because I got hot dropped by PL and didn't die the other because I got to use my Dreadnaught!

Heres the fight from which we couldnt break each other then PL crashed the party ...

HERE!

The other was OMG CAPS DROP ZE DREADS! Moment. So I was like shit why not! I need to kill something with this before I sell it due to dust gathering on it.

Here!

Please don't ask why the Rorq was there.. it was obviously a combat Rorq.. but you know pointless. Still was fun ya know!

Ok so serious stuff time just a quick tid bit.

Fanfest stream? So yea from what I saw it was very lack luster. Even the alliance/corp panel was terrible nothing was that funny, nothing was very informative it was pretty much a slap dash atleast from what I saw. Even the stream wasn't as good as last years.

The only thing that made me drool was the new skins for the Domi and Eagle ect and the new ships for faction! I'll do a more focused write up when I have some time mid week!

Seeya!Randuniphttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09222840030742452170noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8579434500264812053.post-30599114985058729882014-04-12T09:32:00.000-07:002014-04-12T09:32:09.613-07:00Forward Unto DawnHai all!

Delayed posting again but honestly I was out of it the other night and passed out.

Last few days have been interesting and alot's changed literally in the space of a couple weeks. I guess I'll do a catch up post then move on to some of my activitys in the last week or so.

So I rejoined EVE. Well to put it a better way I "Returned from hiatus" Accounts were still subbed during my AFK as I hate losing out on skillpoints and to be honest the cost isn't overbearing and I always manage to argue my justification in my head until I can convince myself what I'm doing isn't stupid. Eve is a great game and continuing to grow it CCP need's player support so even while AFK for me to want to return from AFK's to better content they need money to make it. So I consider a "AFK Payment" an investment.

Anyway moving on. I'm still part of a great corporation known as VOID, It's full of massive dicks and emo raging and whelp fleets but I love it and couldnt really ask for a better group of friends in EVE, even if they are cock molesting assholes. Just to give them a little ego boost they are the kind of people that if someone say's help the kitchen sink gets throw out the window as they scramble to either back you up or whore on you're kill mail. Over a year with them now and I still don't regret it.

On my return I moved all my stuff down to Tasti in the forge region. Ideal 12 jumps from Jita so hooking up new stuff was a piece of blueberry pie. But a few day's ago we decided to leave our alliance and head down a new path, we finally accepted an offer from Shadow Cartel to come play in there yard so with my 3 carrier toons and my JF toon loaded up I moved 100+ ships and around 7b in modules ( How the fuck did I get so much shit????? ) To Avenod just a short distance from Hek. Luckily my spacebro's were up with a cyno chain and surprisngly I was moved in just over half an hour.

So now Im chilling down in lowsec being a dirty pirate like normal and with the added bonus of EUTZ friends in SC it should prove to be a fun time as I'll have more to do then I did before!

I have killed a few things in the last week or so. Lost a legion but thrashed my loss away with a thrasher and got a few million isk in kills to make up for it!

Then lost a Armageddon to stupidity ( My fleet mates ) And there tunnel vision.. who knew a Golem could have such a insane tank never seen anything like it. Was awesome fun though and I laughed all the way back to my hangar loss's are part of EVE after all and I learnt a long time ago if you can't deal with them move on to play my little pony or some other crap game.

Well update complete I have some contracts to fulfill for my buds so toodles!
